* Time Well Spent
It has been quite busy since I last blogged. Gosh, where does time go?
Last Wednesday, I had a beautiful lunch with my supervisor at Lago, a restaurant/bar, near Queens Quay that overlooked the lake. It was quite beautiful.
Onto my dessert (or rather food) binge: I ended up having Oliver and Bonacini's Chef's Platter with Theresa before she left for the West Coast. The dessert, especially made for two, includes chocolate marquise (delectable), banana coconut cream pie, carrot cake, and home baked squares - absolutely delicious. Then I had another White Chocolate Brownie dessert the next day with PI and Ness. But prior to that, I had a wonderful Indian dinner at Jaipur Indian Restaurant last Tuesday that finished with me trying my first Gelato! …Although I think I may still enjoy Laura Secord’s three-flavoured Superkid! Lol. On a side note, spiciness of the food was rather mild (contrary to popular belief) …unless you have the vindaloo of course. Currently learning how to make samosa's and that real yummy masala sauce.
On Sunday, I went to lunch with my Church friends with whom I have not spoken to in a while before I left on a three-day trip with the parentals.
Move into Hamilton Part 3
Part 1: Literally picked everything up from London and dumped everything in Hamilton.
Part 2: Moved a sofa; slight unpacking and organization.
Part 3: Mrs. Clean. I generally don’t mind cleaning and may even have an obsessive compulsive nature, but after Sunday, I can honestly say that I loathe all detergent and bleach products and their respective utensils.
African Lion Safari
Okay, don’t laugh. If anyone really knows me, they would know that I love animals. I saw Bambi and friends, the whole carnivorous cat family, and those baboons that climb unto your cars, you know…like the commercials. Anyhow, it was quite funny cause the demographics there was 10>age>35. Age discrimination included Safari playground: 5 feet and under. Pony Rides: 5 years and under. But on the plus side, the Safari reminded me that I really love kids and that I want my own horse. Riders exclusively aged present year minus 1984 only.

My mom asked me if I wanted to get my face painted. Haha. I told her I wasn’t a kid anymore and laughed at this thought when I asked to go on an elephant ride.
Here's to Princess Jasmine

Onto more grown up things…
Niagara on the Lake and the Falls
Niagara on the Lake is like Main Street in Markham but 10x bigger and much more beautiful. The landscaping is rather attractive.

The serene aura of the lake

We also went wine tasting around the Niagara area. I believe Riesling has become my new favourite wine. Tried it first at Shaw’s Café and Wine Bar and sampled more at the winery tours. Depending on which wine or mix, I think it has a sweet but dryer taste. Then it was onto Casino Niagara. It was my first time gambling in a real gambling place. :P Did you know the casino pumps extra oxygen into this place to make people more awake? As if these people need to be more intensified than they already are. And they also developed a Player’s Membership card that acts like a debit card. It’s appalling! Bars to the side, complementary drinks, accessible ATM banking machines, credit card slots…way to promote and further alcoholic and gambling addiction. It was quite sickening actually.

Anyhow, it was lovely walking down to see the Falls up close. Rather stunning because I have not been there since gosh knows when. Great time for some relaxation and reflection [more to come on next post].
