* Ms. Work-A-Holic
Is it really possible that I don’t even have the time to blog? Well, except for now I guess. But still, I would have thought that I would at least have had more time in a day!
Work has been consuming life, literally. I sleep at 11pm and wake up at 6am to get to work for 8am to 5pm, 7 days a week. I don’t know if I can handle 21 more days of this. To make things worse, since I work with animals, I have developed rat allergies. Not only do I experience the itching, sneezing, and swelling sore throat, but I may have also acquired a mild form of eczema!
Some people say that work is work, and that we shouldn’t let it dictate our life. Hence, they are able to work and party 24 hours, 7 days a week around the clock. I would love to maximize my time and my life considering the workload schedule come this August, but I really think I am getting old. Oh dear!
Outsiiiiide of work (YES, there is time for this)…

Summerlicious!!! It was my first time and first summer! I tried two restaurants: the first was Pangaea Restaurant with PI. We started off with an asparagus soup, then tried the venison medallion, and ended with un pot au chocolate. Well I must say this was interesting: venison = deer meat. All I can say is that it was flavoursome and a bit chewy. :P
The second restaurant, which I HIGHLY recommend because it’s a $20 dinner for a tasty and good portioned dinner, is La Bruschetta Restaurant. This is a cozy and intimate Italian cuisine with a wider menu selection. I had the Cozze Marinara. For a person who typically favours the white wine cream sauce, I was pleasantly surprised by their very yummy mussels, garnished with a spicy tomato sauce. For the main dish, I had the Capellini Mangia Tutto and the Chocolate Profiterol for dessert, sort of like a chocolate cream puff.
Rice Café @ JD’s: I have not been to a coffee house in the longest time. I could honestly say that I had a wonderful night. Oh Brian McKnight and the Jazzist…I was extremely impressed. All in all, it was...nice.
Plans to look forward to…
Everyone is coming home and I love it: my Theresa from Sweden and Rose is back from Asia!
This Saturday I am moving all my stuff from London to Hamilton. Gosh guys, it is really happening, and I think I am really sad, sad to say bye to everyone. Oh, gosh. Well at least on a happy note, I’ll be apartment furnishing with Rose! Move in will be followed by my parent’s anniversary dinner and then a fun outing with the girls.
Sunday dinner with my Swedenified Theresa. I really missed you. It is good having you back. Funny how the solution to my life woes is European men. :P
Dogsterina from Hongcouver: come home soon! I miss you!
I am in the midst of applying for passport. Off to I don’t know where, but at least somewhere elsewhere but here! Can’t wait for mid-August! Then, school on August 29th – I’m PSYCHED!
