* Longest Day Ever
Did you know that rats are stars???Well isn't it obvious? RATS spelled backwards is...(drum roll please)...STAR!!!
Yes, I know this of course must be very exciting to know. Because in fact, this was the useless information my supervisor and I thought about when you've been at work from 8am to 9:30pm at night. Yes, thirteen and a half hours at the lab! Gahhh!!!
Why did I work so long?
Well my "excuse" to be at work, other than the fact that I "love" it, was that it was our first big experimental day that we've spent a month+ prepping for. It took 3 hours to fill up stupid ass syringes free of any air bubbles, another 8 hours for 5 runs (7 animals @ 1 hour each session, approx. 80 animals total), and then 2 additional hours to conduct a Brevital patent test.
I NEVER eat, what I call, my "well travelled apples." But I was so damn hungry that I ate two apples that day. I was still starving by the time I got home at 10:30pm.
The only thing to be 'YAY' about yesterday was the fact that I actually applied to convocate this Autumn!!! Since I was going to do an Honors 4-year BHSc program, for some reason, I was missing a half essay credit by my third year for my 3-year degree. In any BHSc program, two essay courses must be completed. I only had one and a half, but my counsellor waived the other half credit!!! Woohoooo!!!!! So I'm graduating baby!!!!!
