* Perplexions
Been crazy busy - as always! But here's an update of what has been happening in a nutshell. I...* Watched the movie Crash (****) and Star Wars Episode 3 (**). For the former, all I can say is that it was a great movie. It is really hard to describe what the movie is about. Centering on racial prejudice themes, it is one of those movies where many characters with their life stories are connected in some way. As for the latter, I am not sure if my opinion is biased, as I came into the movie theatre with the lowest expectations. I was pleasantly surprised - the best out of three so far. I thought Annikin's acting had really improved, or at least better developed than the previous one.
* Am currently reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.
* Learned how to play Warcraft!!! Got into the game because it was fun watching Sheldon get crushed by the noobies on the Warcraft network...mwuahahahaha...
* Preparing for Relay for Life 2005! Time to get those old, raggetty-rat, smelly clothes out of the dungeon...dun dun dun...
* Had an awesome dinner with Phoenixsong, Clint, and family where we had an interesting discussion about the Da Vinci Code. I felt enlightened because I needed some clarity on many issues about the Church. Personally, I feel as if this book has made me reflect not only about the matters presented in the book, but on my stand and position in regards to other moral issues of religion. I have developed new, but tentative, reservations, especially with the recent progression of stem research in Korea. On a side note, for those who believed that the Dead Sea Scrolls were myth and legend - it's NOT! There is such a thing!
* Volunteered at a rehabilitation clinic for children. For my first shift, we baked cinnamon "man" cookies cause they look like men. Haha, there's this nine year old black kid whose the cutest guy ever. Picture a typical hoo geen who says "Yo, homie", "Yeah!!!", "Aiight". And he even wears a thick silver chain that spells his name! HA!
* Discovered that I was waitlisted. A burden has been lifted. I thought I would definitely be rejected where all hope would be diminished. It felt nice to know that I wasn't thaaaat bad, and somewhat qualified. It made me feel like the sparkle of confidence within me has now grown to be more than a flicker of flame. Thank You. I truely and honestly feel You have given me hope.
So I guess I can say that to date, I am happy and somewhat relieved, but there is still a hint of despair and sadness. I am still waiting, worrying, progressing with the studying, and keeping to the agreement. Oh the weight...
One word: Stress.
Balancing life is stressful.
Yet I can't help but still wonder if it is worth it all in the end.

Hi, Chip,
I'm glad you found the discussions informative and rewarding. I did, too, listening to what you and Bro said.
I still have to finish reading the book, and then maybe we can have more discussions! =)
I'm so glad that you don't talk about the book as if it were a work of non-fiction. That is one thing about that book that bugs the hell out of me! We'll find that in 5 years, we'll have a whole generation of people who think that everything in that book is based on a true story. *rolleyes*
